Trivia - May 12

Question: One  cold snowy day while  going to the mill with wheat to be ground, this saint passed a flock of wood-pidgeons scratching in vain for food on the hard surface of the frosty ground. Taking pity on the poor birds he poured HALF of his sack of precious wheat on the ground, despite the mocking of witnesses.  When he reached the mill, he discovered his bag was full of wheat,  and then after being ground his wheat produced double the expected amount of flour.  Who is the Saint this event is attributed to?
