Question(s): There must have been a beautiful multitude of flowers in the Garden of Eden/Paradise and certainly there are many legends about them. One legend says there was only one plant salvaged from the Garden of Eden and Adam took it with him when he left Paradise -- what plant is it?

What flowering plant represents Eve's repentant tears as she was banished from Eden? Hint: in England and France these flowers are called "Our Lady's Tears.


Answer(s): According to legend, Adam brought shoots from the aloe tree from Eden and planted them in the land where he and Eve settled.  Today, this tree is called Shoot of Paradise, Paradise Wood, Aquilaria tree or Agarwood.

The Lily of the Valley or May Lily often represents Eve's repentant tears.
