Question: Joseph, the spouse of the Virgin Mary, was originally from where?

Answer: The Bible doesn't really tell us. In Luke's Gospel, he appears to live in Nazareth when betrothed to Mary, but travels to Bethlehem for the census as it is the Town of David (his family home). In Matthew's Gospel, he may be living in Bethlehem.
I would accept either answer B. Nazareth or A. Bethlehem, depending on which Gospel is freshest in your memory.
