A spiritual motto does not need to be for only an individual. A family could adopt a family spiritual motto, such as "united in love of Jesus" or "As for this house, we will serve the Lord!" from Joshua 24:15. A family spiritual motto could then be incorporated into part of the prayer before a meal or when member(s) of the family are leaving or returning home.
Spiritual mottos are not limited to just individuals or families----parish committees as well as other groups are encouraged to "find" their own motto, which can ultimately aid in keeping their focus within the parish community. A spiritual motto can be and will be that "AHA Moment".
