• East Africa Famine Relief Collection

  Bishop Amos is requesting a special collection for East Africa Famine Relief to be taken up on June 4th. Checks should be made payable to the parish and labeled CRS East Africa Famine Relief on the memo line.
  
  A persistent drought has left nearly 23 million people across the Horn of Africa without enough to eat. Almost 5 million in South Sudan are now going hungry. Also in Somalia, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Catholic Relief Services is in Africa helping right now along with U.N. World Food Program. They are air-dropping food supplies to areas hard to reach.
  
  Thank you for your consideration of this request and please continue to pray for those who are being directly affected by the famine.

• Food Pantry Sunday

  In April the Lord’s cupboard helped 102 families with full food/supply orders (161 adults and 79 children). Also 315 weekly bread and protein orders were filled. Our Parish donated 28.35 pounds of food in April.
  Needed this month: peanut butter, canned potatoes, boxes of cereal, chicken noodle soup, toilet tissue, toothbrushes
